April 15, 2018 - Taking Ken Flying

Our old Navy friends Ken and Becky were staying with us.  Ken was an A-6  Intruder NFO and was also an aeronautical engineer so I thought he would like to go flying in my plane.  We flew down to
Easton for lunch at the Sugar Buns cafe.  Yes, I had a Sugar Bun and it was excellent!

Ken liked the old F-104 Starfighter that sits on the ramp.

Back at home, the girls were out shopping, so I gave Ken a stack of my aviation magazines -- EAA Sport Pilot, AOPA Pilot, and Kitplanes -- to read.  A few hours later he had picked out the airplane
he wants to build!  I forget the type but it was one of those high-speed, composite jobs.   Ken is retired, and has been doing a lot of home renovation and tropical fish stuff.  He's one of those guys who
is good at whatever he does.  A kit plane project is perfect for him!  He even already has a private pilot's license.
